Carolyn F. Moseley, 88, of 49 Laurel Way, Norfolk, died at her home surrounded by her family on October 3, 2017. She was the loving wife of John Moseley.
Carolyn was born on November 17, 1928 in Jersey City, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Ashley) Fred. As a child, she visited her grandparents at the Ashley farm in Winchester Center. She attended Beaver College in Pennsylvania.
Carolyn married William Miller in 1953 and lived in the Ashley Rd. residence with her three children for 25 years. She was an active member of the Winchester Center Congregational Church and community. In 1978, she married John Moseley. They enjoyed 39 years of a loving relationship at their home on Laurel Way in Norfolk.
Carolyn worked as the receptionist at the Torrington Company for several years. She enjoyed playing the piano, summer vacations to the Moseley property in Nova Scotia, needlework, reading and spending precious time with family and friends celebrating every holiday, birthday and special occasion. Carolyn was kind and cheerful to everyone she met and her friendly manner will be missed by many.
She was predeceased by brothers Lt. Col. Walter Fred and Robert Fred. In addition to her husband John, she is survived by her children: Susan Seaback and her husband Michael of New Hartford, Patty Rocco and her husband Peter of Albany, OR and William Miller of New Hartford, as well as her stepchildren Ann Moseley and Christopher Moseley. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Center Cemetery, 15 Old Colony Rd. in Norfolk, CT, on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Norfolk Ambulance Service.
