Muriel Armon Ball White, 89, died at Integrated Health Services on Sunday. Born in Strawberry Point, Iowa, she was the third child of Stephen Arnold and Dora Dean Dunning Ball, She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Hielmer Stephen Ball, and her sister Beryle Emeline Ball Goodrich. She lived in Strawberry Point, Tonkawa, OK, and then returned to Iowa where she married Nathan George White. They lived in Manchester and then moved to Davenport, Iowa, where they raised their two daughters and were in the restaurant business. An active member in the Order of the Eastern Star, Muriel was a Worthy Past Matron and lifetime member. Muriel moved to West Palm Beach in 1971 after retiring from her position with the U S Government at the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois. She lived at Boundbrook Condominiums until she moved to Heron Run Assisted Living at Integrated Health Services. She was Mother, Mommy, Grandma, Grandma White and Grandma Muriewill cherish her memory always.
She leaves to her memory family in Iowa and Illinois, her daughter and son-in-law Kay and Ron Schriefer, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren Sibyl (Steve) Liedtke, Nathan and Bryce; Steven (Nancy) Schriefer and their daughter Sydney; and Stefni (Scott) Denton and their children Ian and Luke. Although she is now at peace and can rest after many years of poor health, she will be greatly missed by her devoted daughter Janie and her beloved granddaughter Darcie Jane Coburn of Lake Worth. We pray that she is now reunited with her beloved grandson Brent Thomas Coburn who died in 1994. Loved by all who knew her, she will be missed by many friends who will always remember her smile, her loving and caring heart, and her inspiring optimism.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charities for the deaf and the blind, and to Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday (today) January 27, 1998 at the Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Bch. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mizell-Faville-Zern-Southdale Chapel, 4101 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, Fl 33405
