Maurine Evelyn Scott was born on July 12, 1916 in Lyndon Station, WI. to parents Wilbur & Grace (Betts) Scott. She grew up in Mauston, WI. Maurine met Hank Rollins at a dance. Later the couple decided to elope. Maurine married Henry W. "Hank" Rollins on July 7, 1934. They had 5 children together: Elizabeth"Bette"(George) Juno; Dale Rollins; Jo Ann (Richard) Walter; Patricia (Harold) Winchel; & Jackie (Karsten) Berge. Maurine worked as a nurse at the V.A. hospital in Madison, WI. for 22 years before retirement. In the Spring of 1973, her husband Hank was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment. Maurine brought Hank home as he requested and she was by his side when he passed away on Aug 8, 1973. Maurine E. Rollins was a kind and loving woman. She went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 1988. She was 72 years old.
