Henry "Hank" Rollins was born in Wonewoc township to parents Cora Mae (Sutherland) & George E. Rollins. He met his wife to be, Maurine E. Scott, at a dance. The couple was barely 18 years old when they eloped and married on July 7, 1934. In their early years the couple farmed. Later on, Hank drove truck; worked for a machine shop; worked at the Badger Ordinance plant; served in the Army; managed a horse boarding facility (sod farm) and worked at ABS in De Forest, WI for 5 years before his death. Hank & Maurine had 5 children: Elizabeth "Bette" (George) Juno; Dale Rollins; Jo Ann (Richard) Walter; Patricia "Pat" (Harold) Winchel & Jackie (Karsten) Berge. When we would visit Grandpa Hank, he would have horses and he also had coon hounds that he hunted with. In Spring 1973, Hank was diagnosed with cancer (multiple myeloma). He had hospital treatments but he was determined to be at their home near Cross Plains, WI., where he passed away August 8, 1973, surrounded by his loving family. Hank is buried at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery in Madison, WI. next to his wife Maurine, he was 57 years old.
