Terry was intentional about building character into those he invested in. As a brother, he was a role model teaching of friendships, loyalties, morals, work ethics and of life itself. As a father and at work, he taught that a job worth doing is worth doing right. He pursued his Lord and through his faith encouraged others. It was important to Terry to invest himself in others during their times of need and through this he made a significant impact on many lives. He was a listener who remembered what someone told him and always asked about their loved ones and concerns. Terry had an inherent gift for music (especially the piano) and enjoyed sharing his talent with others. He was loved and will be missed. Terry Dale Masters was born on Nov. 23, 1947, in Lubbock to Kenneth Forest Masters and Claudell Roberts Masters. He graduated high school in Burleson, Texas, and graduated college from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. Terry lived most of his adult life in Pittsburg, Texas, where he worked in concrete construction. He passed away on March 2, 2016, in Tyler, Texas at the age of 68. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 4, at 10 a.m. at the Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center, Texas. His remaining family includes two brothers and their wives (Keith and Mary Masters and Jack and Fonda Masters), three sons and their wives (Mike and Mandy Masters, Chris and Amy Masters and Timothy and Jennifer Masters) and 10 grandchildren (Andrea, Emily, Alison, Isabella, Elyssa, Gavin, Michael, Callie Jo, Cody and Cassidy).
