Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 15, 11:30 a.m., at the North Kern District Cemetery in Delano. Officiating will be Jerry Davis and Pastor Eric C. Lively. Having been a longtime resident of McFarland since 1947, Pearlie was born on August 20, 1922, in Montauk, MO, and married Ed Gorman on July 13, 1938. She was a member of the McFarland Church of the Brethren. Pearlie was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; son, Eddie; and granddaughters, Vanessa and Jennifer. Survived by her children, Nellie (Buddy) Dry of Oklahoma City, OK, Carol (Joe) Stringer, Dannie (Linda) Gorman, Shirley Sanford, Boo (Gary) Paradise, Greg Gorman of Bakersfield, David Gorman of Antioch, CA, Sondra (Mark) Bowman, Susie (Robert) Rodriguez and Marc (Julie) Gorman of McFarland; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Delano District Skilled Nursing, Hoffmann Hospice and Dr. John Byfield and staff for their care.
