Joe married Polly (Williams) Haney in 1943. They moved to Springfield, Missouri in the early 1950's and then to Willard, Missouri. Joe worked in the printing department for the Springfield News & Leader for 37 years until his retirement in 1987. Joe and Polly were married for 72 years until Polly's passing in 2016.
In addition to his wife, Polly, Joe was preceded in death by his parents L.U. and Cora Haney; brothers Cecil Haney and Bert Haney; sisters Alyce Janssen and Lorene Reser and daughter in law Barbara Haney.
Joe is survived by daughter, Paula Vinson and her husband Rick; son, Ken Haney and wife Shirley; daughter, Terri Wagner; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Graveside services at White Chapel Cemetery.
Joe was a dedicated Christian and a longtime member of Broadway United Methodist Church.
