Larry D. Davis, age 61, of Field NM, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 7, 2017.

He was born January 13, 1956 in Riverside CA to Lawrence E. Davis and Vena Mae Husted.
He served in the US Marine Corps from 1974-77 on the USS Chicago and in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1980-86.

Larry D, came to the area in 1968 with his father, where they farmed and ranched the family homestead.

He had an extreme passion for racing quads and motorcycles from an early age. He still actively raced placing 3rd in the Best of the Desert Race in Laughlin NV.
He was a member of the Clovis-Portales Elks Lodge 1244, American Legion Post 117, Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 3245, and Am Vets Post 14.

Larry is survived by his wife Fawn; three sons: Robert and Gary both of Tucson AZ, and Larry Paul; two sisters: Rhonda and Donna, both of Bloomington CA; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother Vena and her husband Chet Husted; his father Lawrence and his wife Lola Davis; and son Dwight Davis.

Graveside services Friday, October13, 2017 at 10:30am in the Field Cemetery in Field New Mexico.

Military Honors by US Marines. After the service, family and friends, will gather at the Field Volunteer Fire Department.
