Aunt Bettie was born in Oxford on July 13, 1928 and graduated from Oxford High School in 1947. She married Junior on May 3, 1947 in Cleburne County. They had 2 daughters, Brenda Gail and Peggy Ann. She retired with 25 years of Civil Service as the Transportation Officer at Ft. McClellan. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church in Arab.
She was preceded in death by Peggy and is survived by her other daughter, Gail, along with her husband, Ron; two grandsons, a granddaughter, four great-grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
