Phillip G. Ames, 74, of Lincoln, died October 5, 2017, in Lincoln. He was born May 23, 1943, in Unadilla to Leonard and Louise (Wolfe) Ames. He was a retired diesel truck mechanic. He was a member of the North Arkansas Fly Fishers and he enjoyed fly fishing, fly tying, photography and cooking.

Family includes wife, Marjorie Ames, Lincoln; first wife, Linda DeRyke, Branson, Missouri; daughter, Angela (Randal) Henes, Madison, Wisconsin; son, Matthew Ames, Alvarado, Texas; sister, Sherry (Dan) Fenstemaker, Lincoln; niece and nephews; step-children, Lynne (Bob) Jackowiak, Westminster, Colorado; Mike Price; Jeff (Vicki) Price, all of Lincoln; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, at Fairview Cemetery, Lincoln. No visitation. Memorials may be given to North Arkansas Fly Fishers. Condolences may be left at metcalffuneralservices.com.
