Loretta G. Lambert, "Retta", age 100, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 3, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Plainfield on the family farm and lived her entire life on the farm. She retired from Gerlach-Barlow in Joliet and Kroehler Manufacturing in Naperville, after working many years for both places. Besides her love for the farm, Loretta was very talented in lace crocheting; loved to read, loved history and music; enjoyed researching her family heritage through genealogy, but her greatest love was her family and family gatherings.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Frances (Aschenbrenner) Lambert; her sisters, Marie Bodine (1946), Margaret (Stephen) Homerding (May 2017) and Agnes (Raymond) Homerding (July 2017).

Survived by her loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Dennis Church, Lockport would be appreciated.

Visitation and funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 10:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, at St. Dennis Church, 1214 S. Hamilton St., Lockport, IL 60441. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Lockport.
