Florence Russell, 93, of Lewes, DE, formerly of Oxford, PA passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in Lewes.
She was the wife of the late Oliver Harry Russell, Sr.
Born in Lansing, NC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Lura Testerman Darnell.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia L. Ritchie of Lewes, DE and Ruth Blankenbeckler (Ronald T.) of Oxford; four grandchildren, Donald Ritchie, Jr. (Mary) of Fallston, MD, Tia Jones (Jeff) of Lincoln University, Teresa Blankenbeckler of Oxford and Ronnie Blankenbeckler, Jr. (Debbie) of Newark; twelve grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vance Darnell of Lincoln University and Carl Darnell (Joyce) of Tempe AZ.
She was preceded in death by a son, Oliver Harry Russell, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, PA, where friends and family may visit from 10 – 11 am.
Interment will be private.
