Anna was born July 14, 1935 in Hiawassee, GA. She attended Towns County High School and graduated at the top of her class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Gibson; parents, Guy Stroud and Lucy Barrett Stroud. Anna was a member of Valley Brook Church of God.
Mrs. Anna B. Gibson is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ella Sue and Reverend Chester Edwards, nephews, Chris and Karen Edwards, Barry and Janet Edwards; great nephews and nieces, Christopher and GiGi Edwards, Nathan and Chelsie Edwards, Cody Edwards and Caitlin Edwards. Anna’s newest addition to the family was great-nephew, Cole Edwards. She recently had her picture made with Cole and she thought it was the grandest thing ever. Our grandchildren were her grandchildren, she loved them very much and every special occasion, birthdays, Christmas there was always a card with money.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Anna B. Gibson, will be held Sunday October 8, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel, with Reverend Chester Edwards officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at West Hill Cemetery with Chris Edwards, Barry Edwards, Christopher Edwards, Nathan Edwards, Cody Edwards and Shane Gibson serving as pallbearers.
