Pierce Norton, 85, of Beechwood Road, Sharon Springs, died yesterday in Albany Medical Center Hospital after a sudden illness. * * * Mrs. Norton, a native of Middleburgh, had lived in Sharon Springs for the past three years after many years in Esperance. She was the widow of Frank Norton. Survivors include a son, Roy Rose of Sharon Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Hammer of Sharon Springs; a sister, Mrs. Stanley Alexson of Altamont; a brother, Nelson Pierce of Oak Hill; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Langan Funeral Home. The Rev. Olaf Johnston, pastor of Central Bridge United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sloansville Cemetery.
