TULLY RESIDENT,
DIES IN CORTLAND
Mrs. Ruth Riehlman Morse, sister of Congressman R. Walter Riehlman, died Thursday in Cortland Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Morse, widow of Clayton W. Morse and a resident of the Tully area all her life, was a member of the Onondaga County Women's Republican Club.
She was also a member of the Tully Methodist Church and its Women's Society of Christian Service, the King Chapter 554, OES of Tully, and the Tully Hospital Aid Society.
Mrs. Morse was associated for many years with the Tully Bakery, operated by her brother, R. Walter Riehlman, and also with the Tully School cafeteria.
Surviving besides her brother are two daughters, Mrs. Lucile Hartwell and Mrs. Janice Swartz, both of Tully; three half-brothers, Louis, Carl and William Bammesberger of Tully; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Hartwell Funeral Home in Tully. The Rev. Herman Murdock, pastor of the Tully Methodist Church assisted by the Rev. Clifford Bammesberger, her nephew, will officiate. Interment will be in Tully Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and this evening from 7 to 9. Contributions may be made to a memorial which is being established in Mrs. Morse's name for the Tully Methodist Church building fund.
