Bernard E. “Jeep” Neal, 73, of Groveland Drive, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born on August 6, 1944, he was a son of the late Martha (Beatrice) Neal Brooks and James B. Brooks, Sr. He had been a resident of Bluefield his entire life. Jeep started his career as a Master Electrician forming his own business, Neal Electric. He was also the former owner and operator Neal’s Mobile Towing & Wrecker Service, Neal’s Used Auto partnering with Roger Thompson. Jeep was an only child until the age of 14 and then be become a big brother to his four siblings. Ten years later, after the death of his father, he stepped up and became like a father to his four siblings, and helped his mother to raise them.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Bernard E. “Jeepy” Neal.
Survivors include: Daughter: Jessica L. Neal and Christopher of Huntington, WV, 3 grandchildren who were the loves of his life: Chloe, Emma, and Molly, Brother: James (Pete) Brooks and Louise of Bluefield, Sisters: Shelia Williams and Tim of Bluefield, Georgia Wall and Dave of Princeton, Susie Stamper and Don of Bluefield, Nieces: Heather, Diane, Gail and Robin, Nephew: Joshua, Best bud: Roger Thompson and Barbara of Rocky Gap, VA
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor David Parker officiating.
