Coeburn, VA ~ Donnie Lee "Rooster" Akers, 74 passed away, Monday, January 7, 2013 at his residence in Coeburn Virginia.
He was the son of the late George Akers and Virgie Akers; also preceded in death by a sister, Louella Adkins, and a brother, Hershel Akers.
Survivor include two daughters, Lisa Ann Davis, and Ramona Lynn Carter, both of Collinsville, VA; a brother, W. B. Akers, Coeburn; a granddaughter, Crystal Young; a grandson, Steven Davis; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Donnie Lee Akers will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday after 6:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA.
