Funeral Services for Helen Miles Corley, 78, of Rusk will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday October 10, 2017 at the Rusk First Baptist Church, under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, with Dr. Jacob Fitzgerald, Reverend Lee Welch, and Reverend Donnie Barron officiating. Burial will follow at Sacul Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2017 at the church.
Mrs. Corley passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017. She was born January 6, 1939 in Omen, Texas to the late Jodie E. and Lillie Miles. She graduated Arp High School and went on to attend Stephen F. Austin University. She was a long time member of Rusk First Baptist Church. She was very involved at the church having worked in the church nursery, library, and cooked many meals for many occasions. She didn’t miss an opportunity to attend the activities of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered by her husband, Arlis Corley, Rusk, children, Debra Guidry, Tyler, Betty and Jerry Inglish, Lake Palestine, Tommy and Susan Corley, Carthage, Gary and Tracy Corley, Rusk, Keith and Erin Corley, Diboll, seventeen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Gladys Lofgren, North Carolina, Jewel Rushing, Dallas and one brother, Travis Miles, Chapel Hill.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Corley, Aaron Corley, Ryan Corley, Travis Corley, Graham Inglish, and Steven Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be Max McCarley, and Jeff McRae.
