Luther E. Bagwell, 91, died October 6, 2017. Born in Liberty he was the husband of Ruby Chapman Bagwell for over 70 years. He was a son of the late George Adolfus and Emma Pace Bagwell and the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mr. Bagwell retired from Liberty Denim and worked in the textile industry in Liberty for over 60 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 sons, Randy Bagwell(Deborah) of Easley, Reverend Benny Bagwell(Beth) of Franklin, NC and Mark Bagwell of Columbia; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 5 sisters and 10 brothers.
