Served with the RCAF during World War Two. Posted to 426 (Thunderbird) Squadron on October 06, 1944. On the night of November 02, 1944 he was the Navigator aboard Handley-Page Halifax VII, serial number LW 199, squadron code OW C on a mission to Dusseldorf, Germany. The Halifax was shot down by flak. Three crew survived, but thee, including Harrison, were killed. He was originally reported Missing in Action. His remains were later located and positively identified in 1948.
