Kathy Chambers (79) passed away on February 23, 2017 in Corpus Christi, TX after a lengthy battle with cancer. Kathy was born on May 16, 1937 in Vernon, TX. She was a graduate of Electra High School, Electra, TX and Del Mar College, Corpus Christi, TX. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Portland, TX and she was a past president of the Paisano Girl Scout Council of South Texas. In the 60's she was a lab technician for PPG in Corpus Christi, TX. She retired from Gregory-Portland ISD as a para-professional librarian at East Cliff Elementary School, Portland, TX.
