Mark Allen Alford 59, of Bowling Green, KY passed away at 7:14 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014 at his residence.

The Jefferson County native was born on November 29, 1955 to the late Lawrence and Hester Prater Alford, and is survived by his wife Jejith Dionsay Alford. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 32 years of employment. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, spending time in the outdoors raising his chickens and gardening.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel with visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Wednesday. Family Chose cremation.

Along with his loving wife, he is survived by four children; Markita (Lewis) Philpot, Brittany Alford, Jenny Marie Alford, Alexandria Kate Alford; 7 grandchildren, three sisters; Margaret Holmes, Jo Ann Bland, Joyce Washburn, two brothers; Darrell Alford, Jimmy Alford, several nieces and nephews.
