Survivors include his significant other, Tonya McClure and her children, Ruby and Louis; mother, Linda (Gary) Sears of Searsboro, Iowa; father, Richard (fiancée, Diane Krumdieck) Brown of Davenport, Iowa; twin brother, Cory Owen Brown of Parkview, Iowa; sister, Amanda (Johnny) Weber of Alachua, Florida; nephews, Zachary Williams, Brandon Weber and John John Weber; nieces, Kaiti Weber and Tina Weber; and his huge extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Cody was born on October 17, 1989, in Davenport, Iowa, son of Richard Brown and Linda (Scherer) Sears. He graduated from Sante Fe High School in Alachua, Florida. Cody graduated with an Agriculture Diesel mechanic degree at Kirkwood Community College. He worked for City Tractor in North Liberty as a mechanic. Cody had a knack for being inappropriate at the most appropriate times. He loved camp fires and snowboarding. Cody especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
