Graveside service will be at 5 p.m. today at Oak Hill Cemetery for Roy L. Morrison, 73, Gadsden, who passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016. The Rev. Joey Hanner will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Morrison served in the United States Army and later retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber with over 30 years service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Morrison; parents, George and Estelle Morrison; and brother, George Earl Morrison Jr.
He is survived by his children, Kelley Doyle, Kraig (Lesli) Morrison and Gary Morrison; grandchildren, Nicholas Doyle, Abby Claire Morrison and Bryer Morrison; sisters, Hazel Morrison, Helen Hanson, Jerri Howard, Tommie Bailey, Johnnie Ruth Morrison and JoAnne (Ronnie) Thomas; brother, Randall Morrison; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northeast Alabama Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 264, Gadsden, AL 35902-0264.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
