Albert 'Crazy Al' Joseph Kohutek, 90, of Abilene, Texas passed away on October 6, 2017, in Abilene, Texas.

Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Sunday, October 8th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday October 9, 2017 at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Lemons Gap Cemetery in Lemons Gap, Texas.

Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.

Al kohutek was born in Granger, Texas to frank and Louise Kohutek on July 19, 1927.

After graduating St. Josephs High School in Rowena, Texas he enlisted in the United State Marines and was a veteran of WWII.

He married Fae Jacoby on November 5, 1951.

Al enjoyed a career as a public accountant as the owner of Texas business service from which he retired in 1987 to return to farming and ranching.

He described himself as a crazy bohemian who enjoyed fishing, farming, ranching, and above all dancing.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Heaven gained a polka dancing, joke telling, catfish catching, life loving, prank pulling angel today.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Louise Kohutek, his wife, Fae Kohutek and 2 infant daughters, his sister Alice Jacoby and his granddaughter Lindsey Kohutek Culver.

He is survived by his children Greg and wife Vicki Kohutek of Abilene, Texas, Brenda and husband Benny Holland of Katy Texas, Michael and wife Lori Kohutek of Abilene, Texas, Rhonda and husband Joe Behrens of College Station, Texas, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and friend and dance partner Mada Belew.

Pallbearers will be; Jace Weldon, Dan Jacoby, Benny Hoelscher, Kendal Kohutek, Cullen Kohutek & Hunter Parker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cory Kohutek & Beau Holland. In lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, TX 79606.
