Pamela J. Dawson, age 72, of Weston, CT, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after an extended illness.

She was born in Chicago, IL on October 21, 1941, a daughter of the late Ivan and Evelyn (Thiesen) Olson.

She was employed as an executive assistant for most of her career, most recently working for Test America. Her early career began as an art teacher. She was also a past member and former president of the Kiwanis Club of New Canaan.

Pamela enjoyed traveling the world, having visited exotic places and seventy two countries. She was also an avid collector of antiques.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Flood and her husband Dan of Groton; two grandchildren, Aidan and Colin Flood; a sister, Barbara Ramsey and her husband Bill of Santa Rosa, CA; also a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Larry Dawson of Acton and Terrance Dawson of Seaford, NY.

Relatives and friends may call at the J. A. Healy Sons Funeral Home, 57 North Main Street, Westford, on Monday, September 22 from 4 until 7pm. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main Street, Westford. Interment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford.
