According to the book Cold North Killers: Canadian Serial Murder By Lee Mellor:

"It wasn't until the 1936 death of [a] Seaforth woman Eva Nieforth that the [William Peach Young & Lila Gladys Coolen] Youngs' fortune began to change. Impregnated by a drifter, Eva had already reached her ninth month when she arrived by sleigh to the Ideal Maternity Home just over a week before Christmas 1935. She soon contracted an abdominal infection & was confined to a cot until January 28 when she went into an agonizing labour. Her child perished shortly after birth, & within a day, Eva's infection had become inflamed & there were no antibiotics on the premises to treat her. Receiving a letter from William Young, Eva's boyfriend Walter hurried to the maternity home to find her near death. When he suggested calling a physician in East Chester, William dismissed the idea, claiming that he was already a doctor. The Youngs cajoled Walter into paying $20 for the burial of the infant & $5 for a shroud, before sending him on his way. By February 1 Eva Nieforth had succumbed. Charges of manslaughter were filed against the Youngs for the deaths of both mother & child. It was believed they perished from a combination of negligence & poor sanitation at the home. During their trial, provincial pathologist Dr. Ralph Smith testified that he had performed autopsies on the victims & suspected Eva had contracted peritonitis from unsterilized obstetric instruments. The infection had slowly spread from her uterus to her perineum, causing abscesses that ruptured, resulting in a tortuous death. Improper use of forceps on her newborn had loosened the scalp & broken off the occipital bone. The Youngs took the stand to deny the charges, & in May 1936 they were acquitted."

Gravesite Details Whoever created this cemetery pointed out there was a new & an old but didn't create a new cemetery so I'm assuming they're being kept here together. This family was in the new section.
