1826: 14 Jul 1826 James Isbell married Edy Riggins in Williamson County, Tennessee. (She was called Eda Redmon by some great-grandchildren)

1840: Maury Co., TN. The Isbell community was named for the family, and Isbell Branch still appears on maps at the location of the Isbell community in Maury County, Tennessee. This is south of Columbia, 3 miles southeast of Mt. Pleasant, and about 4 miles southwest of Spring Hill.

1870 moved from Maury County before the census, not found
1871 "Letter to the Editor" published in the Columbia, TN HERALD MAIL 13 Jan 1871 referred to him as "Old Man Isbell" and mentioned his sons William, Redmond and Seth, apparently written by his granddaughter's husband, looking for them and stating they had heard nothing from any of them since before the Civil War started.
1880 Humphreys Co, TN., living next door to son Redman Radford Isbell age 43 who was still living in Humphreys Co. in 1910.
1882-4: Both are thought to have died in Humphreys Co., at which time their son James moved to Arkansas, according to obituaries per his grandson Paul Isbell.
1900: R.R. Isbell still there.
