Wayne, 62, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 2, 2017 in Oakdale with his family by his side. He was born February 19, 1955 in New Orleans to the union of Roosevelt Craig, Sr. and Annie Tish McGriff Craig.
In 1973, he graduated from Oakdale High School and furthered his education receiving his bachelor degree in accounting in 1977 from Grambling State University. He was a member of St. Peters Baptist Church. Wayne was employed at Citgo Petroleum as an operator. He was a devoted son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Annie Craig.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: son, Dewayne Edgar Craig; daughter, Alisia Renee’ Craig (Jesse) Robinson; three brothers, Roosevelt (Pat) Craig, Jr., Reverend Gregory (Linda) Craig, and Andre (Wanda) Parker; two sisters, Deborah and Carol Craig; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Roosevelt Craig, Jr., Andre Parker, Donald Mitchell, Ronald Mitchell, Jesse Robinson, Jr., and Tommie Arp.
Honorary pallbearers to serve will be the Deacons of St. Peters Baptist Church, Ollie Long, and Reverend Gregory Craig.
Visitation will be held at St. Peters Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the church.
