BALLSTON SPA - Esther M. Sanders, 81, of Ballston Spa left this world peacefully Friday, April 12, 2013.
Born Dec. 24, 1931, in Ballston Spa, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Haskell.
Esther was a lifelong resident of Ballston Spa and worked at the Tam O'Shanter Restaurant in Ballston Spa for many years.
She later was a dispatcher for George's Taxi Stand.
She was predeceased by her brother, James Haskell, and her sister, Anne DiBlasio.
Esther leaves behind her best friend and devoted husband of nearly 50 years, Herbert; her children, Michelle Framolaro (Sal) of Long Island, Tammy Murphy (Frank) of Middle Grove and David Sanders (Charlene) of Ballston Spa; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Later in life, she found genuine happiness in just being surrounded by her family. Her spitfire personality made her unique and endeared her to many who knew her. She was the center of the family and her loss will forever be felt.
A private funeral service will be held.
