KINGSPORT - John Henry Begley, 60, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning (October 4, 2017) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. John Henry always had a true love for his family and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Matt Begley; his mother, Edna Hyatt Gibson; a brother, Roy Hyatt; nephew, Ray Stallard, Jr. along with his special aunt, Ada Begley.
John Henry Begley is survived by his sisters, Lucille Stallard and husband, Ray, Joyce Young and husband, Robert, Kathy McGuire, and Martha Busler; his brothers, Ellis Begley and wife, Donna, Floyd Begley along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday (October 6, 2017) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. A graveside service will be held on Saturday (October 7, 2017) at 1 p.m. at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
