William P. Kyle is the son of Jane Kyle/Kile who is buried at the Old Graveyard Memorial Park inside the center of Pulaski, Giles County, Tennessee. William is the brother of Annas Jane Kyle Moffitt and Eliza Kyle Mitchell. William is also the husband of Elenor Tucker whom he married in January, 1844 in Giles County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
1. Martha/Matilda J. Kyle married Joseph H. Taut on August 29, 1867;
2. Margaret C. ‘Sallie’ Kyle married Richard Newberry Brown on August 18, 1867;
3. Charles Miron Kyle married Martha ‘Mattie’ Jane Brown on December 5, 1867-after her death, he married Martha ‘Mattie’ Ann Marks on December 12, 1898;
4. Mary Ann Kyle married Richard B ‘Dick’ Garris on October 3, 1870;
5. Mary Elizabeth ‘Eliza’ Kyle married Marcus ‘Fate’ Lafayette Roberts on September 25, 1871;
6. Riley Kyle drowned at the age of 5.
The 1860 Census lists Elenor Kyle with the above children. It is believed William P. Kyle died in Giles County, Tennessee about 1858 as the Will of Elenor’s father George B. Tucker indicates Elenor is the widow of William P. Kyle.
Information on the husband of Jane Kyle is unknown as well as her maiden name. It is believed her husband’s name was William Kyle but no proof. Any information regarding this would be appreciated.
