Judith “Judy” K. Davidson, age 64, dedicated wife, daughter, aunt, sister, friend to many and caring registered nurse, passed away on September 30, 2017 during a tragic bicycle accident on the Tour of the Moon bicycle ride held in Grand Junction, CO.
Her husband, Artie and she were together on the bike ride when the weather took a turn for the worst. Judy lost control of her bike on her descent and passed away at the scene of the accident.
Judy was known for her infectious laughter, her love of sports, book reading, cooking, her strong faith, love of travel and trying new things. Judy touched others’ lives through the love of hiking, swimming, scuba diving, bicycle riding and active involvement with Marriage Enrichment for many years.
Judy is survived by her husband, Artie, of 40 years, her mother, Kathryn García and brother, Jonathan García and his wife, Judy Ann. Judy also leaves niece, Tiffany García and her husband, Trevor Goldwater, their children, Devin Clay and Ava Goldwater and many other cherished family members.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Fructuoso García.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at French – Westside. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:45 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM. Inurnment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to a charity of your choice.
