"Richard D. Wallace, age 58, of Butchertown, returned to his Heavenly Father October 1, 2017. Mr. Wallace was born in Louisville Kentucky on December 28, 1958 to the late Ben Robert and Emma Wallace. Mr. Wallace loved his music and fishing. He loved kids especially his grandbaby and was good with children.

Among those preceding him in death are his parents; his brothers Keith, Kenny, and Bobby; and his sisters, Darlene and Patricia.

He leaves to cherish his memory, 2 sons, Cecil and Shon Wallace; 1 granddaughter, Kendall Wallace; 7 brothers and sisters, Emma Singleton, Barry Wallace, Bruce Wallace, Geraldine Searcy, Marlene Wallace, Charlene Wallace, and Carlene Brinley; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00pm Saturday, October 7, 2017, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects Friday, October 6, 2017 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday morning from 10:00am until the time of the service."
