Mr. Keith Dent, age 82, of Vidalia, died Monday, October 2, 2017, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and was the owner/operator of Kay Dee Millwork for many years. He was Pentecostal by faith, and enjoyed dove and quail hunting. He was preceded in death by a son, Kelvin Dent in 2007; parents, Glen and Irene Dent; and three siblings.
Mr. Dent is survived by his wife of sixty years, Naomi Dent of Vidalia; two children, Coite Dent of Vidalia, and Lisa Dent and Lenny, of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Jessi Carter and husband Anthony of Hazlehurst, Jared Dent of Cedar Crossing, Haley Dent of Statesboro, and Anna Roig of Vidalia; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Dent and Lane Dent, and a great-grandchild to be born in December; two sisters, Opal Lassiter of Macon, and Edna Dees of the Johnson Corner Community; one brother, Charles Dent and wife Julia of Macon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 6th at 3:00 p.m. in the Vidalia Church of God with Pastor Wayne Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Vidalia Church of God on Friday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
