Curtis E. Ford, Jr., 95, passed away October 3, 2017. Ford was a member of the Texas House of Representatives and a recipient of numerous awards from public officials and organizations for public service and volunteerism. He was very active in the community - making daily visits to senior citizen centers as well as independent and assisted living facilities. He was a director at Covenant Baptist Church and a member of the Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. Ford was a disabled Veteran from WWII, having served in the U.S. Air Corps and the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, of 70 years, Gloria Ford, son: Mark ford, daughters: Lael Miller, Karla Schuler, Kari Webster, Lawana Tom and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment to follow at Seaside Reid Mausoleum.
