Sandra earned her Associates degree from Medar Evers College in Brooklyn, NY. She was a buyer and planner in New York City and worked as a health insurance representative in Delaware. She enjoyed reading and was a member of Oprah’s Book Club. She also enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises.
Sandra was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. She was very proud that she graduated from her “Usher Training” on June 29, 2013.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 17 years, Lynn E. “Vasco” Hollingsworth, Sr.; three children: Cassandra Christine Allison and her fiancé Donald Hill of Dover, William Lee Allison, Jr. and his wife Theresa of Queens, NY, and Paulette E. Allison of Cary, North Carolina; seven grandchildren: Anthony, Melissa, Tyrone, Cam’ron, Chanel, Shania and Marco; and one great granddaughter Christina. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
