Leon Elton Wilson was born November 25, 1942 in Paducah, Kentucky, the son of Reverend Elton Wilson (1922-2007) and Rachael Dean (Courtney) Wilson (1925-1996).

He was married to Bettye Killebrew.

Leon graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Masters degree and was a CPA for 45+ years. He was also a member of Bible Baptist Church where he served as song leader and also taught Sunday school for over 54 years. He was a member of Civitan Club and a honorary member of the National CPA Society.

A resident of Clarksville, Tennessee, he was 74 years old when he passed away at home on October 2, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Galen Wilson, while survivors included his wife; two married sons; a brother; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Services were held at Bible Baptist Church, and burial was in Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
