Amy Parton Berry, age 54, died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Hospice Wendover.

Born April 4, 1963 in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of Terrill Fred Parton, Jr. and Martha Jean Smith both from Rutherford County. Amy and her husband Tony ran Berry Business Systems for many years and she was very active in the local community. She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church for more than 25 years, where she taught Sunday school, helped often with the youth programs and helped to establish HeBrews coffee shop at the church. Amy was also a member for more than 10 years of the Junior Charity League of Shelby. She loved tennis and her tennis family for all of their amazing support through her illness. Her greatest pride was her grandson Zeb, who she loved dearly

In addition to her parents, Amy is survived by her husband of 32 years, Anthony "Tony" Berry, her daughter Valerie Kahler and husband Zac of Greenville, SC, two sisters, Avis Parton, Linc McDaniel and husband Robert and a brother Lane Parton all of Rutherfordton, as well as her grandson, Zebulon Kahler and a second grandchild expected to arrive in February.

Funeral service will be held 10:00am Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Rit Varriale officiating. The family will receive friends in the Life Enrichment Center following the committal service in the church cemetery.
