Keith Jacob Mason, 53, husband of Deborah “Debbie” Mason, of Greenville, died October 1, 2017.
Born in Spartanburg County, he was the son of Joanne Bemisderfer Mason and the late Marion Edwin Mason.
Keith was a loyal employee of Laurens Electric Cooperative for thirty-two years and considered the folks there his extended family.
Keith was a vital part of the ministry of Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church in Greenville, where he served as Deacon, Choir Director, and AWANA leader for many years. If there was something that needed “fixin’”, Keith was there to do it and would willingly apply his numerous skills to whatever the job was.
However, the one area of ministry that really captured his heart was the Bus Ministry and he faithfully drove for over twenty years until his health would no longer allow him to do so. Still, though he couldn’t drive, Keith continued to ride along, knock on doors, and assist the riders. Wrenn truly misses Keith Mason.
In addition to his mother and loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lynne Mason, of Greenville; a son, Jacob C. Mason, of Taylors; two grandchildren, Zachary K. and Zoey C. Mason; a sister, Karen M. Cole, of Greer; and two brothers, Allan Mason, of Travelers Rest, and Marty Mason, of Decatur, AL.
Burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
