Martha was born in Alexandria, TN to the late Lawrence and Lola Mae (Burton) Gibbs. Martha married the love of her life, Edward Hood on October 17, 1957 and he survives.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her family. Martha is also survived by her sons, Roger (Peggy) Hood of Rushville and Randall (Susan) Hood of Michigan; Sister, Sally (Robert) Rankin of Rushville. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Martha is preceded in death by her 3 brothers, 1 sister, and also her granddaughter, Amanda Sue Hood.
