Brenda Lee (Knutson) Blair went to be with her Lord at the age of 54 on June 16, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nev., after a short battle with ovarian cancer.
Brenda was born Dec. 6, 1961, to Norma (Shaw) and Kenneth Knutson in Minot. Brenda was raised with her five siblings in Stanton and graduated from Stanton High School in 1980. She completed her education at the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
After graduating, Brenda lived in Des Moines, Iowa, for a short period of time, until she moved to Dallas, where she met the love of her life. Brenda and Les married on May 22, 1992, in Frisco, Texas. Brenda and Les moved to Las Vegas, where they lived with their beloved dog, Mini.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Kenny; one brother, Wayne; and her grandparents.
Brenda will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Leslie; her mother, Norma Knutson, Bismarck; her siblings, Carla (Robert) McKay, Darwin (Wanda) Knutson and Glenn (Susan) Knutson, all of Stanton, Valerie (Maynard) Rathjen, Hazen, and Bonnie (Robert) Devers, Baltimore; her grandfather, Fred Navratil, Stanton; numerous nieces and nephews; and many life-long friends.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, rural Hazen.
