Agatha R. Baumgart, 99, who resided at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls, passed away Thursday, Sept 14, 2017. She was born April 7, 1918, in Zurich, Switzerland the daughter of Hans and Agatha (Frey) Dietrich.

Agatha, along with her parents, immigrated to Mellen when she was three years of age. On Oct. 4, 193,6 she was united in marriage to Ernest Hauschild, Sr. and they made their home on the Hauschild farm near Glidden. In 1966, they moved to Inver Grove Heights, Minn. In 2014 she moved to Park Manor in Park Falls. She was a Sunday school teacher, choir and Ladies Aid member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glidden and at Trinity Lone Oak in Inver Grove Heights, Minn. During 1968 to 1978 she was an active Concordia Guild member at Concordia College in Saint Paul, assisting with guild projects at the college. She and Ernest began the first Peeksville, WI 4-H Club, the Peeksville Leaugers in 1951 and remained its 4-H general leader and one of its project leaders for over 15 years. Her hobbies included flower, fruit and vegetable gardening, fishing and writing poems and songs.

Survivors include her children, Ernest, Jr. (Pat) Hauschild of Glidden, Reverend Daniel (Agneta) Hauschild of Apple Valley, Calif., Linda (Gary) Feenstra of Glidden, and Paul (Nancy) Hauschild of Proctor, Minn; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, of 37 years Ernest Hauschild, Sr. in 1973; son Walter Hauschild in 1983; her second husband of 14 years Alvis Baumgart in 1999; brothers, Christ, Hans, Werner, Arthur, Walter and Jack Dietrich and one grandson, Paul Daniel Feenstra.

A Funeral Service for Agatha will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glidden, with Reverend Gary Lodholz officiating.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Church in Glidden and continue until the hour of service.

Interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery, Glidden.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen.
