Services for Perry Nolan Davis will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday October 7, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, with David Tidmore officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Davis passed away peacefully Monday October 2, 2017 in Tyler after his battle with cancer.

He was born May 2, 1939 in Grand Saline, Texas to Joe Elmer, and Janie Merle Monroe Davis. Perry was a 1957 graduate of Grand Saline High School, served in the United States Navy, and attended Tyler Junior College. He was a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge, in Tyler. He was formerly employed by Kelly-Springfield Tire Company and retired from automotive aftermarket sales and training at Moog Corporation.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Gloria Ann King Davis, in 2008. Also preceding him in death were his sister, Veneta Davis Wilson and his parents, Elmer and Merle Davis.

He is survived by three children, son Steven and wife Julia of Tyler; son Kenneth and wife Karen of Tyler and daughter Suzanne of Fort Worth. Also surviving him are three grandchildren, Megan Davis Wright and husband Garett of Troup; Clayton Davis and Anne Marie Davis, both of Tyler. He is survived also by two great grandchildren, Hayden, and Maryn Wright of Troup. Also surviving Perry, are his sister Janice Freeman of Highland Village, and his long-time special friend Darlene Reel of Tyler.

Pallbearers will be Steven Davis, Kenneth Davis, Larry Davis, David Davis, Don Debenport, and Freddie Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be fellow graduates of Grand Saline High School, Gary White, Eugene Bates, Joe Sellers, Freddy Dickerson, James Dowdle, Dale Carpenter, and Carroll Russell.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday October 6, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
