She was born on June 24, 1939, in Anderson.
She retired from Fort Benjamin Harrison after 34 years of service.
She enjoyed bowling for 42 years, playing cards, bingo and going to the casino.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Daniel) Zent; grandson, Michael Songer (Ashley Smith); sister, Mitzi Payne; special niece, Cindy Rhodes; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Soales Ross; father, Charles Ross; sister, Charlotte Toombs; and nephew, Justin Rhodes.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, followed by a service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
