Leah West, 87 year old Seminole County, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Friday, September 29, 2017 at her home near Wolf, Oklahoma. She was born March 1, 1930 to parents Legus West and Sissie (Palmer) West.
Leah enjoyed being with her family; sitting with her Word Search puzzle books and the Seminole Producer Newspaper; attending Church services, eating “Lay’s” potato chips while drinking “Pepsi”; watching the family’s 4th of July fireworks display, quietly ironing her clothes and enjoying our Mvskoke hymns.
Leah is survived by: Camry, Malena, Bernita and husband Bo Whitekiller of Wolf, Oklahoma; Andi, Aniya, Aziza and Jaztin Pebworth, Winter Coker and Justin Pebworth of Wolf, Oklahoma; Alison, Taylor, Jesse, Lauren, Marissa Coker, Nathania Mitchell, Thaddeus Harjo, Sissie Coker and Levi Harjo of Bowlegs, Oklahoma and Dominic Coker of Seminole, Oklahoma; special nieces and nephews: Sharon Thomas of Wolf, Oklahoma; Tracy Burkhart of Kansas; Michael Yarbrough of Wolf, Oklahoma; Carolyn West of Seminole, Oklahoma; Woodrow West of Wolf, Oklahoma, Tammie West of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Charles Pierce of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Johnny West of Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Leah was preceded in death by her parents, Legus and Sissie West, by one sister, Alice West, and by five brothers, Thomas West, William West, Allen West, Porter West and Pare West.
Funeral service will be held at Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church in Konawa on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. George Harjocee and Rev. Dorsey Nero officiating the service. Interment will follow at the West Family Cemetery.
