Residence Marblehead, Ma.; a 20-year-old Cordwainer. Enlisted on April 15, 1861 as a Private. On April 30, 1861 he mustered into Co. C, 8th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. He was mustered out on August 1, 1861 at Boston, Ma. On Sept. 9, 1862 he mustered into the 10th Massachusetts Light Artillery. He was mustered out on June 9, 1865 at Galloup's Island, Boston, Ma. Promotions: Corpl., Sept. 9, 1862 (as of 10th Ma. Light Artillery); Sergt., June 1, 1863 (estimated date.)
