Gail Chipley
1941 – 2017

Gwendola “Gail” Chipley, of Boonville, passed away September 29, 2017 at her home.  She was 76 years old.

Gail was born in Columbia on April 26, 1941 a daughter of Albert Vincil and Dorothy Neal Gilpin.  She married Willard “Bert” Chipley, Sr. on December 5, 1958.  He preceded her in death on September 26, 2012. 

Mrs. Chipley was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She supported various ministries including Israeli Charities and Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.
Survivors include a son Willard Chipley, Jr. (Melony) of Millersburg; two daughters, Tina Larm (Daniel) of Boonville and Nora Barteau (Gary Carroll) of Boonville; a brother, Roger Gilpin of Boonville; three sisters, Margie Thurmond of Leslie, MO; Brenda Snider and Linda Brown both of Boonville; thirteen grandchildren, Derek Carroll, Crystal Stockwell, Marlana Zank, Nathaniel Larm, Tara Milligan, Logun Chipley, Tyler Chipley, Shanna Mathews, Ryan Mathews, Kara Chipley, Brad Mathews, Shannon Stockwell and James Stockwell and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Bobby, Leon, Harold and Richard Gilpin; two sisters, Stella Wheeler and Romell Swindler and by two grandchildren, Charity Hope Stockwell and Jeremy Allen Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin.
