Peggy Inman Wood, 62, of 244 Eden Drive, Gaffney, S.C. passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

Born in Spartanburg, S.C. she was the widow of the late Robert L. Wood and daughter of the late Roy Inman and Helen Hedrick Inman.

She was a graduate of Gaffney High School, was a caregiver for her family members, formerly worked for Craig’s Fish Shak, and a member of Goucher Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Robert Wayne Wood and wife, Mary Ann, of Gaffney; four sisters, Mary Jane Atkins, Edna Ruth Ruppe, Patricia Blackwell and husband, Bobby, and Cathy Whisnant and husband, Carl, all of Gaffney; a grandson, Bobby Martin Smith; a special nephew, Charles Atkins of the home; numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Zeb Inman, Bobby Inman and Duck Inman, and a sister, Dellie Parker.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Blakely Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bryon Inman and Rev. Jimmy Powell officiating. Interment will be in the Goucher Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence, 244 Eden Drive, Gaffney.
