Diane Thomas Jenkins, 58, of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013. She was formerly employed with Lewis Gale Medical Center for 28 years, and was presently employed with Vistar Eye Center. She was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Lee Broughman; mother, Louie Mae Steber; great-grandson, Jeremiah Thomas.

She is survived by her brothers, A.J. Thomas Jr. and Herbert Thomas; sister, Patty Ellen Thomas; nephews, Brandon Thomas Sr. and wife, Jayme Thomas and Dustin Thomas; grandson, Brandon Scott Thomas Jr.; granddaughter, Evelyn Lana' Thomas. Diane was a mother figure to Brandon and Dustin Thomas, and to Nelson Flores.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013, at Oakey's North Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Broughman officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel.
